Althoff Annual Gourmet Festival

 

Participate in the "Althoff Festival of the Master Chefs 2008"

This summer you´re cordially invited to Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg for the sixth annual "Althoff Festival of Master Chefs" on August 24th, 2008, from 13:00 to 18:00.

The Althoff Hotel Collection have been awarded a total of eleven Michelin-Stars - one of Europe´s only hotel group with this unique distinction. Every year we honor our guests with the opportunity to meet our prize-winning chefs, as they gather together for our festival.

At our "Walking Lunch", which utilizes the beautiful salons and rooms of Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg, you´ll be able to observe the skills of our master chefs as they prepare various courses. Perhaps by chatting with one of these esteemed cooks you´ll learn a few culinary tricks of the trade!

Because we´ve also invited representatives from renowned vineyards and importers of fine wines, you´ll enjoy the best wine available anywhere in Europe.

The festival begins at 13:00 with a champagne reception. The culinary program starts at 13:30.

Saturday, August 23rd  " A Day on the Côte d´Azur"

The day before the Althoff Festival of Master Chefs" begins, Saturday, August 23rd, we´ve planned our very popular "Day on the Côte d´Azur".

 We´ll begin at 13:00 with a Bouillabiasse Lunch accompanied by wine from the French countryside. after lunch, we´ll help you participate in an exciting Boule tounament, you´ll enjoy French country wine, Pastis, freshly made crepes, and many other delicious treats.

In the evening, we´ll expect you at 19:00 for a cocktail reception before going into a five-course meal prepared by our French star-chef Thierry Thiercelin. at dinner we´ll provide all of the corresponding wines, water and coffee.
