The interiors of St. James’s Hotel and Club are currently undergoing complete renovation by an international team of architects and designers led by award-winning interior designer AMJ Design, from Berlin.
Each of the luxurious 60 guest rooms and suites will reflect Althoff Hotels attention to detail, incorporating state-of-the-art technology and exquisite furnishings. Many will have their own balcony and views over the rooftops of the historic St James’s district. The penthouse suite will feature a large roof top terrace unrivalled in this part of London.
Exclusively designed and in harmony with the elegance of the Victorian building, the rooms have an average size of 25 square metres and are perfect for the experienced traveller. All rooms are exclusively finished with handmade silk wallpaper, black lacquered furniture, handcrafted Murano glass chandeliers and polished natural stones in the bathroom. In addition to a comfortable seating area, a working desk with High-speed internet access, laptop safes, minibar, I-pod docking station and flat screen TVs complete the room’s standard facilities. All rooms also include built in wardrobes to allow a more spacious feel.
The St. James’s Suite is offering matchless and generous luxury. It consists of a generous king size bedroom, an impressive living area and the adjoining Roof Terrace for private receptions, banquets or meetings up to 30 guests. With a size 71 square metres, it is an airy suite with an exclusive bathroom, equipped with a Jacuzzi and a flat screen, inserted in the mirror. Furthermore the suite disposes of all technical finesses, the modern guest of today needs. Two BOSE hi-fi systems, DVD player with digital satellite-TV, two large flat screens, a multi-media PC with wireless keyboard and data links for phone or video conferences including laptops and a fax leave nothing to be desired.
You may gain access to the suite through a private lift and combined with the Westminster Suite you will be able to take over the entire floor privately and create a lavish 110sqm Penthouse Suite including a private 50sqm Roofterrace.
